These are two parks not too far from each other in the Cinnamon garden area. One is the Independence Square and the other is the Viharamahadevi Park.

Both these places are used by the residents in Colombo, as places for recreation and exercise.
In the past these areas were rejuvenated, in the beautification process of the city. But, sadly whilst the Independence square area is maintained very well, the Viharamahadevi park is neglected and showing signs of degradation and disrepair. Who is responsible for the maintenance? shouldn’t the relevant authorities looked into this.
